Gotta let them not see you as a threat. If offered food for a little while they’ll not attack you. They’re surprisingly good at remembering who’s who.
- Comment on Most Australians take more than 30 minutes to get to work. How does that compare to other countries? 4 months ago:
Sounds like a standard government planning process to me. :(
- Comment on Is anyone still playing Command and Conquer Generals (+ Zero Hour)? 6 months ago:
Ah man. Now I’m gonna have to pull out the ol red alert 2. The only game I’ve played where 10 hours just disappeared. Started just after breakfast and next thing I realise, everyone in the house is fast asleep and it’s pitch black outside.

From the way it seemed to be phrased, the regular kidnapping of other species for procreation sounds like it’s a regular thing too.
Ah well, they’ve left it too late to stop them now :)

Yeah I’m pleasantly surprised how this one is going. Ended up binging the first 4 episodes in a row

Looking forward to the rest of the season too! Think I’m gonna have to go back and re watch the earlier episodes to get back into the storyline again.
- Comment on Young adults are getting used to living on a financial cliff 8 months ago:
Exactly. You get used to the feeling of intense anxiety if you have it all the time. You don’t like it, but you get used to it. Same goes for being poor. It’s shit, but if you can’t get away from it you adjust your life whether you want to or not.
- Comment on I'm a US citizen, people in other countries, what do you think when you read stories like these about the US health care system? 8 months ago:
I do like that in my country, if there’s an emergency, you don’t need to think about it. You just get help without fear of being financially crippled for life.
I feel bad for Americans that you can’t easily get medical help, even in emergencies.
- Comment on Sony is erasing digital libraries that were supposed to be accessible “forever” 9 months ago:
I feel more and more justified about piracy every article I read about licensing and stuff just getting taken away after having paid good money for stuff
- Comment on Cable company logic: "Our predatory anti-consumer practices are really pro-consumer" 9 months ago:
Only if they buy the argument that it’s too difficult to explain what the hidden charges are for so they shouldn’t have to.

The worst part is seeing the bite out of a piece that had toothpaste. It just sells the idea of disgust

I’m not saying they’re in the right, but once you put stuff on the internet it’s near impossible to stop people doing what they want with it

I wish they improved the net code when they re released it on steam. Loved playing it as a kid, was looking forward to a modern co-op experience

They had a free week recently. But it ended up taking almost the entire week to actually successfully install and launch it. So I played it for maybe 5min

Yeah this is one of those things where you don’t have to like the guy to want to take advantage of the tech. Elon is a loud mouthed idiot, but he’s somehow spawned some cool companies

Darknet diaries or self hosted
- Comment on ISPs complain that listing every fee is too hard, urge FCC to scrap new rule 1 year ago:
Jeez if they cannot even identify what they’re charging for, then should they be charging for those things at all?
Sounds shady as fuck
- Comment on People who back into parking spots: Why? 1 year ago:
I find it easier to backwards park, especially in tighter spaces. Mostly because it’s easier if you look properly and watch your mirrors and don’t rush. It’s also easier to leave because you’ve got better line of sight for oncoming traffic
