That’s literally like saying Victorinox helps support crime because people who commit crime sometimes use knives.
You are literally washing over the fact that this atrocity was fuelled and perpetrated by religious fanatics and corrupted governments.
Literally the only part which speaks about Facebook is that “social media may have helped spread the violent message” and that Facebook refused to share user data with investigators. Which without a warrant is standard practice.
You are doing the equivalent of putting pictures on a board and drawing strings between them.
- Comment on 41% of fediverse instances have blocked threads so far!!! 11 months ago:
No it’s real simple, you lot act like these big tech companies are evil personified but happily look the other way or hand out whataboutism out like candy when it is some group, institution or ideology you support doing the same or even more fucked up shit.
Bunch of delusional fanatics.
- Comment on 41% of fediverse instances have blocked threads so far!!! 11 months ago:
Are you seriously comparing systemic rape and abuse to your “big company bad” ideology?
That’s fucked up.

No, you you literally said that Facebook is evil.

“An enemy of freedom”. 🙄
I mean can you be more cliche?
Or maybe, out of the 3 Billion active users on Facebook each month, are you, and lost other people, are focusing on the ones who post fucked up shit because, shock and horror, everyone is griped by the propoganda. Welcome to being part of a biological social creature.
Just for a moment consider the following. Facebook priorities posts that get engagement, they don’t care about morality and fairness and they won’t stop untill it is illegal to do so.
I don’t absolve them of their responsibility, but you attributed malicious intent when stupidity and profit is only needed.

4chan in the early days was just trolls wanting to piss people off. Apart from the occasional post that was truely fucked up, which the community generally made sure the authorities found out who made it.
The current landscape is a bunch of people all wanting to circle jerk themselves to feel virtuous.
The world is just a fucking pathetic eco-chambers now. And I’m a flirty whore for engaging in it.

Whataboutism indeed. 🙄

Oh for fuck sake, can you to stop with the “what about XAMPP” bullshit.
The fucking protocol still exists. And none of you bandwagoning twats using it, but constantly talk about it like it was stolen from you.
Right now, download any number of XMPP clients and start using the protocol.
You don’t because you are part of the “big is bad” elitism trope. Pathetic underground elitism.
- Comment on Please defederate from threads.net 11 months ago:
It’s only the biggest influence on specific instances, if the people in those instances engage with them.
The key difference is if you defederate just because “big is bad” ideology then the whole premise of federated services becomes irrelevant, because as soon as any instance gets too big it will be defederated.

If I name instances in the ML sphere posting clearly anti western propaganda, hate speech and the questionable impartiality of rule enforcement in the fediverse, are you going to cry foul?
- Comment on Dear server admins, please defederate threads.net. Dear users, ask your server admin to defederate threads.net. 11 months ago:
That would be because bandwagoning is the lowest form of virtue signalling.

All things that exist already in Lemmy.
And only admins of an instance could artificially prioritise posts on the fediverse, and only on their instance.
Bots, shills and bad actors exist on all platforms to inflate posts and opinions.

And advocating for open standards while excluding platforms because “big company bad” ideology is naivety.

Oh look, more elitism post.
So you want an alternative to large closed source proprietary platforms, but don’t want to allow anyone who doesn’t use it via a “preapproved” list of providers?
The level of irony in these posts are astounding.
- Comment on Please defederate from threads.net 11 months ago:
This elitism bandwagoning hurts the goal of providing alternatives to closed source proprietary platforms for social media.
If you want an open and viable alternative to proprietary platforms running social media then you must have a willingness to include those who want to be part of said platforms.

Why do I have a face of post-nut clarity when I’m only standing here looking at you?
Trick question. 😉

Learn the concepts behind Propositional Logic and First Order Logic. Then how to apply them to critical thinking.
You will be surprised how much bullshit you can instantly see through by checking against a simple set of propositional statements and their conclusions to see if they are mutually exclusive.
As an example of Propositional Logic… It is raining today but there not a cloud in the sky.
Proposition 1 = It is raining today Proposition 2 = There are no clouds todays
Both Propositions 1 & 2 are mutually exclusive therefore the statement as a whole is false.

I only despise academia for their insistence to gauge value on the number of published papers. Not because my thesis needed to be published.
My thesis had more value than the next 7 papers I published before I left academia.

Except he won’t be the next leader. He will either be removed by another more extreme person or society will reject his ideals and swing to the opposite position.
All of the populist leaders have the shortest life span.
The problem is we collectively keep buying into it.

Poor Elon trying to tech-bro his way into social dominance by buying social media platform.
And to think that only ~6 years ago people saw him as a progressive visionary.
There is the lesson people. Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought of as an idiot than to open it and remove all doubt.

OP isn’t posting in support of workers rights.
It is some thinly veiled attempt at suggesting workers are worse off today than when we were peasants. Which is complete horseshit and a typical trope of commies who want us to tear down our institutions.
