They’ll of course go after the Murdoch media for similar images, right?
Right?

- Comment on NSW to ban people from appealing if working with children check denied 1 week ago:
They’re not thinking. They’re in kneejerk mode, because of what happened in Victoria. Personally, I’d be surprised if the proposed legislation survived any examination by the courts.

- Comment on Aukus will cost Australia $368bn. What if there was a better, cheaper defence strategy? 3 weeks ago:
A nuke sub operating there for a couple of months is still better than a DE that leaves after a week (presuming it can reach that far at all).
- Comment on Aukus will cost Australia $368bn. What if there was a better, cheaper defence strategy? 3 weeks ago:
We deploy our subs for blue water not just littoral use. They patrol up as far as the South China Sea. Nukes allow us the stay on station for much longer than DEs.

Beta most certainly did have porn. VHS’s advantage was that it had a longer record time (therefore more porn).

- Comment on Sound it out: Victorian children improve reading ‘leaps and bounds’ thanks to phonics 1 month ago:
Phonetics was used in WA at least as early as the 70s.
My understanding is that another method, where kids were expected to just spell and pronounce words as they believed, replaced it. Unfortunately, the alternate method was essentially dogshit, and there’s been a push to return to phonetics over the last decade or so. The ABC or SBS did a doco on it.
- Comment on Voters, ‘left media’ to blame for Coalition wipeout: Rinehart 2 months ago:
She lives in a bubble. Same as Bolt, who also blamed the voters. They’ve removed themselves from the mainstream, and can’t fathom the masses thinking fundamentally different from them.
Even a walloping with the clue stick, like what happened on Saturday, isn’t enough to shake their faith that they’re right. That’s why they blame the media, the left, the immigrants, anyone but themselves.
- Comment on Mark Zuckerberg Thinks You Don't Have Enough Friends and His Chatbots Are the Answer 2 months ago:
Every generation does. When my parents were born, a computer was a job title. Both my grandfathers were born before the invention of powered flight, and lived to see men walk on the moon. The only constant is continuous change.

Babylon 5: Into the Fire. Killed just months before release after a corporate restructure. The closest we got was some Freespace mods.

Nextcloud? I was looking for a friend and there was a German company that was offering 1TB for €5. The friend wanted something in Germany, but I suspect you can find similar deals elsewhere.
