- Comment on Microsoft is adding a new key to PC keyboards for the first time since 1994 10 months ago:
Keyboards are a bundle item. Rarely buy keyboards except people in offices who want a wireless.m+k combo or foreign layout. Desktops always arrive with a keyboard. Every IT dept I ever worked in has piles of them surplus

- Comment on Just Stop Oil protestors interrupt UK’s biggest games event EGX 1 year ago:
This is exactly what i think they are doing. I didnt know bout the oil baron granddaughter funding it, but they are such fucking plebs and the message is being delivered to entirely the wrong people in the wrong places. They probably dont even realise they are sabotage acts. Seem to be passionate about tje cause but even with a group of 10 of them they struggle to hit a cumulative double digit iq levels. Get a new frontman you fucking goobers.

- Comment on Can I keep fried eggs in fridge? 1 year ago:
Do you know hens lay like 16-24 eggs a month regardless of if they are getting any cock, and if they aren’t getting any, the eggs won’t be fertilised, but they still lay. Hens do this from like 6 months old… it’s wasteful not to eat the eggs.
You should go outside and actually touch grass sometime. If all you know is supermarkets food but you want to preach about where it comes from, at least have the butter to know wtf you are talking about.
Also vegans spouting the shit they do is probably the main reason people don’t try it.

- Comment on Proxmox HDMI output for one VM-container 1 year ago:
I do this with proxmox on a Lenovo tinypc. However I’m using a Nvidia gpu for passthrough. Was awhile ago I set it all up. I remember it being fairly complex. Here is a super basic instruction for it. Possibly incomplete.
Check you have iommu enabled in efi/bios. (For Intel - enable vt-d)
Install drivers if necessary (again nvidia)
Blacklist device on proxmox host
Setup GPU passthrough (vfio) - assign the card video and audio to the guest vm.
Start vm and test
If you are using onboard card, you can probably blacklist it and use it for your vm… I’m not entirely sure how proxmox deals with losing its primary display… I expect it’ll cope ok. SSH for everything. Probably need to use virtio drivers. Install within guest…
- Comment on The U.K. Government Is Very Close To Eroding Encryption Worldwide, the EFF says 1 year ago:
Summary or article
“The U.K. Parliament is on the verge of passing the Online Safety Bill, a far-reaching internet regulation that poses a serious threat to global privacy and democracy. The bill would grant the British government the power to force backdoors into messaging services, effectively undermining end-to-end encryption. This move has been met with strong opposition from civil society groups, technical experts, human rights advocates, and the companies providing encrypted messaging services. Despite widespread resistance, the U.K. government continues to deny the negative implications of the bill. Efforts to protect privacy and encryption through amendments have been largely disregarded. The bill’s potential consequences extend beyond the borders of the U.K., affecting individuals worldwide who value the right to private conversations.”
