I’m not a craft beer neckbeard but I’ve been an ale drinker since late 90’s as larger is shite and gives me heartburn.
Every brand has a PR stance so i dgaf what their marketing says, I like most of their beers, some have odd flavours and I just don’t get them ones. Never been in their over priced restaurants and probably never will. The claims being made here are pretty shitty if true and glad Watt stepped down, kinda hope they short stuff out though just so I can keep drinking the beers of theirs I like, so long as they come in 500ml can, screw this 330ml trend for the same price as 500ml !!

Suggest you run a small virtual lab to get your head around things.
It is doable, and there are articles out there about sysadmins running it with great success in a mixed environment.
Good luck, admin 👍🏻

Apple is the reason for lack of games, just at the app store money grab and total lock in.
Install parallels and then windows and play your games.

As an ex nvidia and recent amd user on Linux, I’d say wayland isn’t ready for gaming. X11 is still great, and wayland is the sand dunes of Linux in that they just move too fast for valve to adequately offer stable support. Also xwayland is really what’s running most games, and that is just another layer.
Electron apps are shit and just a fancy chrome window get a real app or just use chrome --app=url.tld
- Comment on UK farmers vow to mount more blockades over cheap post-Brexit imports 9 months ago:
I’ll just say what we all heard from the ones we know. Most brits that voted for brexit were only looking at the obvious and well discussed xenophobic benefits.
Those of us who thought at a critical level did not vote for it.
Now, the full shit show is being seen and felt it’s only gonna affect more, so get used to it.

- Comment on No excuse for shoplifting because UK's benefits system is very generous, policing minister says 10 months ago:
Generous, wtf they’ve actively reduced the amount even before inflation and also reduced the amount disabled people can claim whilst also changing the rules to ensure fewer people meet the rules to be able to claim.
Don’t forget food banks were set up due to the above before inflation.
Fukn Tory scum has been attacking the welfare state for decades.

- Comment on You SHOULD connect to Tor via a VPN, actually 11 months ago:
The onion router was a clue in itself as to how you connect to the Internet, especially when you need to hide. Add more than a normal vpn into the mix, proxies, ssh tunnels, dns tunnels, net cat, and maybe i2p. Once done, you could even fire off an ion cannon in a particular orbit if you fancy.

- Comment on Is there a nice guide for unbound DoH? 11 months ago:
What’s a nice guide?
Follow this to get it installed and follow the configuration steps to set it up as you need it (I wouldn’t bother forwarding to another server but setup root hints instead and add a timer to keep them upto date):
wiki.archlinux.org/title/Unbound#
Then add these configurations to get doh or dot working:
wiki.archlinux.org/title/DNS_over_HTTPS_servers#U…
If you want a spoon-fed guide, then a search engine may help, but really, it’s quite easy.

- Comment on FOSS Deep Packet Inspection software? 1 year ago:
I think you might get part of the way but may still find you get detected. Foss DPI projects will not be able to implement the methods used by say fortinet, sonicwall, f5, juniper, Cisco, a10, and others. This is because they all use proprietary DPI created in house. They’re not going to use Foss DPI for obvious reasons, you’ll be able to create workarounds for detection and implement that in a bad payload.

That’s the same train of thaught I had when telnet was declared a back door in huawei devices.
theregister.com/…/huawei_enterprise_router_backdo…
During the hey day I passed hcna-rs, the first thing we were taught was to just use telnet as a means to enable shh, then log back in and disable telnet.
Moral of the story, do not under estimate a nation state’s use of global tech media to effect a global drop of a product or manufacturer from the market.

Bitwarden+vaultwarden, harden the chosen VPS, set SSH to use keys only, then setup fail2ban for webserver and ssh Also consider putting ffsync on it as well for extra browser benefits.
- Comment on What is your favorite domain name provider, and why? 1 year ago:
No all domain provider will allow you to change the nameservers of a domain they sold to you as they want to sell you the rest of what you need for extra $$$
You can only have 2 name servers on a domain and it is not advisable to make them point to different DNS providers as they will both need to be authoritative and by having 2 different providers will mean you get 2 different SOA which will break fundamental DNS.
to change the nameservers will either be simple or hard, depending on the domain name provider it might take 24 hours for them to change the name servers or they may allow you to change them via web UI which could be just a 2 hour wait.
