It seems Europeans are blocked from playing… Every fucking time… calling something Global and then blocking everyone not american.
I was so excited for this.

I think they mean that if the standard OS was Linux instead of Windows, and therefore everybody had full control of their computers, that if windows was suddenly released and installed on all pc’s instead of Linux, people would still shrug and be fine with it.

Corporations just want you to keep using their shit. But for someone who has ADHD and is autistic, streaks and gamification can help me a lot to make something a habit.

I use Firefox on everything EXCEPT my Steam Deck. Firefox will not let you open the dropdown menu to exit, make videos fullscreen etc. And when a notification pops up, your firefox is now 100 by 30 pixels…
I wish they would fix it already…
I can use firefox in desktop mode but i don’t like having to switch to desktop mode and wait for everything. Then switch back to play something.

Wouldn’t it then help to run the smaller ones locally instead of using the big ones like ChatGPT?
I read that one called Deepmind or something in china took a lot less to train and is just as strong. Is that true?
What do people usually use LLM’s for? I know they suck for most things people are using them for like coding. But what do people use them for that justifies all the hype?
Again, please don’t think i am trying to justify it. I just don’t know super much about them.
- Comment on Why, just why? 4 weeks ago:
First of all, they are not “muh countrymen”.
Second of all, those things have nothing to do with immigrants.
People are dying of heat because of climate change. Which is caused by corporations. They don’t fix the roads because the rich hoard their wealth. Force apple to pay their taxes and you will be able to fix all the roads and more. They can’t get a GP appointment because it is severely underfunded and people vote for cunts like Farage instead.
Non of these things have anything to do with immigrants
- Comment on 60% of Teachers Used AI This Year and Saved up to 6 Hours of Work a Week 4 weeks ago:
That is sadly the truth with many things. People just don’t care unless it personally affects them. And even then it depends if it hits hard enough 💔.
- Comment on 60% of Teachers Used AI This Year and Saved up to 6 Hours of Work a Week 4 weeks ago:
I actually don’t know that much about LLM’s. I do know they require a ton of energy to train the models. But once those are trained, the smaller models especially, don’t require that much to run, right? I once tried to run a local one to see how much it took, and my gpu maxed out for a few seconds and the LLM spit out text and it was done. While when playing games, the gpu maxes out for hours.
Again, i don’t know super much about them as i have only used it a few times over the years to break down big tasks into smaller tasks for my AuDHD when i am very overwhelmed, and it was kinda nice for that.
The image generation stuff is pretty bad though from what i have read. Plus it steals peoples art. Fuck that shit.
Please do tell me if i understand wrong. Because i don’t want to contribute to a bunch of bad shit ruining the climate.
- Comment on Why, just why? 5 weeks ago:
So because the ruling class hoards everything, your solution is taking scraps from people who have even less than you? You know what that makes you? A cunt.

Sea of Thieves is such an amazing game. I love just taking my boat and doing the treasure hunting. I haven’t played in over a year because the one thing i can’t deal with is the pvp. I am not good at it and frankly i have zero interest in it. But it is forced on you and people will sometimes just chase you till the ends of the ocean to take you out. I know there is now a “safe seas” mode but it is soooo limited. You aren’t even allowed to take your own ship 🥺.
I always played with my partner and my little sister. But my little sister just ends up getting drunk, eating all the food and falling off the boat hahaha. So we put her ass in the jail sell till she sobers up.
But fuck do i miss this game… alright time to reinstall!
I love your posts btw! I check and read the whole post every day. Always gets me excited to play the games you are currently playing.

Don’t forget throwing his LGBT fans under the bus to have a happy conversation with asmongold and basically inviting the cunts fanbase to harass his LGBT viewers.
Then when said viewers tell him that he was wrong for that and now they are being harassed, he said people were trying to cancel him for having a normal conversation with asmongold about a video game.
That shit pissed me off so much. Pretentious cunt…

Same here. I LOVE Genshin Impact. I have played it since release day and have honestly never been so deep into a games world, characters and story before. But with the voices changing or even no voices in the past year, i am kinda burned out. There is so much drama surrounding the game that everytime i play it, it feels bad even just playing it.
- Comment on A Hitman co-op mode with Stone and Knight is in the works at IO Interactive 1 month ago:
I wonder what other people think about this, but after they put Connor McGregor in Hitman for an event, and then removed him after the :::rape::: conviction, left a very bad taste in my mouth…
They KNEW he was a racist piece of shit before the conviction.
I love hitman but it just kind of ruined it for me that they added him in the first place.

Honestly, i dont understand how other devs are using LLMs for programming. The fucking thing just gaslights you into random made up shit.
I tried as a test to give it a madeup problem. I mean, it could be a real problem. But i made it up to try. And it went "ah yes. This is actually a classic problem in (library name) version 4. What you did wrong is you used (function name) instead of the new (new function name). Here is the fixed code: "
And all of it was just made up. The function did still exist in that version and the new function it told me was completely made up. It has zero idea of what the fuck its doing. And if you tell it its wrong, it goes “oh my bad, you’re right hahaha. Function (old function name) still exists in version 4. Here is the fixed code:”
And again it made shit up. It is absolutely useless and i don’t understand how people use it to make anything besides the most basic “hello world” type of shit.
Often it also just gives you the same code over and over. Acting like it changed it and fixed it. But its the exact same as the response before it.
I do admit LLMs can be nice to brainstorm ideas with. But write code? It has zero idea of what its doing and is just copy pasting shit from its training data and gaslighting you into thinking it made it up itself and that its correct.

I use RetroAchievements for it too which is pretty challenging.

- Comment on Youtuber Geekerwan has find the motherboard of Switch 2 and after reverse-engineer it have simulate the performance on a similar PC 2 months ago:
Apps by corporations are stuffed with ads, telemetry and other crap. It uses frameworks on top of other frameworks and import libraries for the dumbest shit. For example the reddit app is about 120mb while my lemmy voyager app is 8mb…
The twitch.tv app is 150mb while an open source twitch app is 25mb. It has even more functionality and options and runs like butter.
Most of the shit phones have to run and process is in the background to track and sell.
Its really bad and why i encourage people to use open source versions of stuff they use.
