I know, I know. Maybe I’ll come back to it in the far future. There are almost too many games available at the moment so I’ll be ramming my flaccid dong against another wall until I love it.

This but with Cyberpunk for me.
I’ve tried W3 so many times but I just can’t get into it.

I see. Well, I guess I’ll see you in 2 years then when they inevitably pull off another swap and move all resources from the PU back onto SQ42, and use that as an excuse for delays.

It’s as if the person read a parable about the Hindenburg disaster and took from it the idea that hydrogen should be the only gas used for balloons.

Is it the early access games, or is it just Chris Roberts’ history of being deceptive?
I mean, if SQ42 is truly close to being released, if it requires a last push, shouldn’t all employees be working on the project? Why would you suddenly move everybody off of a project that’s allegedly close to release?

“(On SQ42) …but our plan is to be feature and content complete by the end of 2019, with the first 6 months of 2020 for Alpha … and then Beta.” - Chris Roberts, 2018
So apparently “feature complete” comes before alpha and beta for Chris Roberts. If Star Citizen is in “early alpha” now, and SQ42 is “feature complete”, doesn’t that mean SQ42 is actually behind Star Citizen in terms of progress?
Is that why they are moving all the devs back over to the main game?

I imagine all of these powers come as the worst possible implementation like a cursed rabbit’s foot.
Like free gravel for life: you don’t conjure it out of thin air at will, no, it’s magically mailed to you once a day in small quality and you have to remove it from your mailbox or it’ll fill it up.
Teleport 7 inches: a magic leopardcon appears and lifts you on their shoulders. If there’s a wall in the way, they just keep walking into the wall.

Wow, thank you for sharing your experience.
People on Lemmy complain about not having longform content that offers a unique perspective like on early Reddit, but you’ve written exactly that.

Definitely! I truly believe Elden Ring is accessible, it’s just not immediately clear how.

May I offer some unsolicited advice.
-
Your damage output is as important if not more important than “getting gud”. The more damage you do, the fewer attacks you have to dodge. That’s kind of the secret to all these Souls games.
-
Damage and damage mitigation come from stacking many small, incremental bonuses and upgrades. The most important upgrade for damage is upgrading your weapon with ores. Pick one weapon (eg. Longsword) and invest all ores into it.
-
It’s possible to suicide-run into dangerous areas for upgrade and powerful items since you don’t lose items that you’ve picked up upon death. You can collect mid and high-tier ores this way even at low level.
-
It’s perfectly okay to farm exp from non-bosses. The best places are higher level areas (relative to your character) where common enemies give as much exp as early game bosses, yet who can be killed near save points. There are various areas for early, mid, and late game, just Google them.

I mean many on the right truly want a homogeneous race of citizens. That’s not mutually exclusive with cheap, undereducated labor.
