Huh, neat. Ive never seen that disc before. FWIW, i had 3 different 360s, but I dont remember which ones i would have used Og xbox games on. Likely my first one- it was the original larger style that was prone to RROD, but was purchased a few years after the 360 had been released. My other two were the later slim version. I dont have specific model numbers…the only 360 i still have has been in storage for a few years now in a different country, so i couldnt even go mess with right now if i wanted to 😅

Gold doesn’t exist anymore. Now it’s game pass core or something…the rate went up with that “migration”. You do get access to a few “free” games with core, but you gotta pay way more to have the full deal. I think core is $70/yr now?

That’s what the current gen xbox one and series do- disc for reference, download actual game. The 360 playing older OGs still plays from the disc without download/internet. ….at least that’s been my experience. Last time i used my 360 to play OG xbox games there was no internet or downloads involved.
- Comment on There should be a "last used combination" faucet handle for sinks so you don't have to balance hot and cold everytime during winter 2 months ago:
My super basic faucet handles are exactly that…you twist it left-right to set temp and tilt it up-down for pressure from off to full. We just leave it rotated wherever we like it for temp and tilt up to turn on each time to the desired pressure. Our water pressure is always variable, so the amount tilted up varies, but the “rotational temp” almost never needs changing. There’s no fancy thermostatic valve in these like some shower have.
I feel like sink handles like this are super common, too. I’ve had similar ones in the states and in Europe…

Yea, i pretty mich agree with all your points. Made me think of a situation with my neighbor a few months ago- one of their kids left the fridge door slightly open when they left. I think for a weekend trip or something, just enough that everything had spoiled. Lots of meat, too, so they had a blast with that. Some sort of push notification might have helped or prevented that, but otherwise…nah. Dont need nor want any of that always connected, smart, online, wtf ever mess.

I’ve learned this as well. But printing parts to supplement existing toys…now that’s been great. Hot Wheels accessories is a really good example…

Of the main topic of the article here, but that was a roller coaster of thoughts for me with the Title and the link thumbnail-
Kinda looks like Drew Berrymore in the thumbnail, so “Bionic Girl Debuts…” oh cool, new movie—-wait, Drew lost her arms and now has prosthetics? Opened the article……Ohhh…
- Comment on The US Secretary of Education referred to AI as ‘A1,’ like the steak sauce 9 months ago:
Fair enough! I grew up on the gulf coast and have traveled all over the deep south, have family from northern Louisiana, and my parents lived in Baton Rouge for a while- so i wasnt trying to “assume” for you! A1 (for me) is just one of those things that seemed so common i stopped seeing it and never needed to look for it! Like I said, you aint missing much, so im glad you aren’t familiar with it cause there are waaay better options where you’re at!!
- Comment on The US Secretary of Education referred to AI as ‘A1,’ like the steak sauce 9 months ago:
Odd you havent seen it being from the south…but that’s probably for the better! It’s Steak Sauce. Meant to be put on steaks…it’s in all major grocery chains and usually on the tables at most restaurants serving any sort of a steak menu. Bottle is shaped like a Worcestershire bottle, but has a white label with a big A1 on it. I never cared for it so at this point couldn’t even tell you what it tastes like. If a steak needs a sauce, then it’s not a good steak.
With that said, i’ve seen it used as a marinade ingredient, or more complex sauce ingredient- so it’ll still have its uses.

That’s not what this is…this isn’t a breakout board or a development board. This is just straight up, drop-in power supply for bare breadboards. If you dont know what breadboards are….well…
