Actually you can, but the programming takes a lot longer to compile and the programming language iitself is, to say the least, vague.

yes source: can speak Greek.
Also the first two letters of the Greek alphabet are άλφα (alpha) and βήτα (beta)
- Comment on Researchers warn that Windows 11 restrictions could send 240 million computers to landfills 10 months ago:
I know that unfortunately it’s not going to happen.
I also know that there are numerous NGOS and less fortunate people who could really take advantage of using a pc and use it for a good cause or just enjoy it.
I also realise that there is a great number of students, even in the developed world, who could use a laptop for school and fun as well by running Linux.
instead of throwing the hardware away it could be repurposed.
Also i could use a couple of new old pcs to build a NAS for local cloud and jellyfish as well as a Batocera based emulation console for my living room.

We should tread lightly!

I hate so fucking much how little customer service companies are allowed to have.
It’s not a mater of how much customer service they’re allowed, rather than how much they choose to have. In most cases they choose to have close to none because it’s more profitable for them, so its in the best short term interest of their share holders. And yes, in most corporations, long term is thex quarter

- Comment on Petition Calls on Microsoft to Extend Windows 10 Support | PCMag 1 year ago:
I also use Nvidia GPUs on Windows. The thing is that They tend to have driver issues on Linux.
I’m also very disappointed with the closed architecture of their software, their recent price hiking in Europe and the fact that they stop supporting older GPUs
TL’DR. I don’t have a bad experience on Windows. At the same time it’s hard to switch to Linux, they dont have open source drivers and they don’t have long term support for their products by turning them obsolete through software

Hopefully by 2025 gaming in Linux will be greatly improved even more. Until then I’ll keep using Windows 10 and I’ll start saving for an AMD card
- Comment on Interesting how artists don't make enough money from their creations, so our solution is to make certain information illegal to share, rather than give them a universal basic income. 1 year ago:
I completely agree on giving UBI to everyone, Imagine a world without artists. Without movies, TV shows, theaters, musicals, museums, books, music, sculpture, paintings, architecture.
Imagine how dull everything would be, without the creativity and imagination of these people out to use. But nowaday people just say Y0u_sH0uLd_sTuDy_SoMeThInG_t0_hAvE_iNc0mE, ignoring the consequences of the absence of arts
- Comment on Matter 1.2 is a big move for the smart home standard 1 year ago:
May I suggest the use of ZigBee protocol devices instead of WiFi or Tuya. You will need a ZigBee dongle in HA but it will work locally without cloud intervals.Zigbee also creates a mesh network , so it has less connectivity issues. It should be noted that not all kinds of sensors and devices use the ZigBee protocol.
- Comment on Samsung joins Google in RCS shaming Apple 1 year ago:
I think this issue is mostly a USA one, considering that most communications there have caps (data, phone time, SMS etc.) Paradoxically, the market there doesn’t work very well and prices are relatively high. Big corporations take advantage of it to lock people to their ecosystems. There is a high probability that this issue, will be regulated by the EU, since US policy makers are unable to solve much more important problems. For them this is not an issue. The market has solved it.
- Comment on POV) You use Windows 11 and set up Pihole for the first time. 1 year ago:
That would be good, considered the user could actually have a choose to opt out the telemetry. Windows don’t ask you about gathering data for telemetry or “other” reasons.

- Comment on Music labels sue Internet Archive over digitized record collection 1 year ago:
Internet Archive makes me feel like a visit to an old section of a library that noone visited for a while every time I go there. It’s a shame that the US have at the same time people who treasure the need for preservation of culture and Civilization, and people who would sell their own mothers for the shareholder’s profit. If they don’t move to a country with more logical copyright laws, I’m afraid we ll lose the too. Dammit, 2023 is a year the Internet is gone to hell by the corpos faster than I can remember
