My experience got noticably worse that time they tried to make their UI look like tictok. I cancelled and deleted my account and have been on tidal ever since.

I should have said copilot, that’s what I actually meant. I didn’t realize autopilot was a thing.

how about fucking autopilot too instead of having to find a registry to disable it.

Lutris is what i should have said, that’s what I was using, but I think what made me think wine was the dependencies of sorts in the settings of lutris. I really wish I could get it down because I liked PopOS a lot.

I was able to get an indie title to work but it wasn’t the two games I was playing at the time. Guardians of the galaxy and RE4. I’m currently on FFXIV which has a silver or gold on the “does it work” site I forget what it’s called. But not having adrenaline is kind of a bummer. I use that too. The frame generation is a great feature.

I’m wine inept so it’s not viable for me either. I spent a total of 4 to 6 weekends trying to get shit to work. I just can’t get it right.

I was able to disable autopilot with a registry change but I don’t remember where I found the link. It wasn’t easy to find at the time when I looked. That being said if you reply asking for the link I’ll try and find it but otherwise, yes.

- Comment on Heat-pump water heaters are a winner for the climate — and your wallet 7 months ago:
i mean technically, you could use it but it sounds gross to do without a filtration of some sort before it goes to whatever storage you’re referring to.
another thing to note is that most baseboard heaters are OK to use on 12 AWG. If you’re tight on space in your panel, you’ll likely free up 2 spaces in your box eliminating the heater but still will need to run whatever gauge wire is suggested in the installation manual. (if i’m understanding your intention of removing the resistance heater)

I did. I started trying with guardians of the galaxy and gave up after I couldn’t get re4 working, which like you said was gold. I’ll probably give it another shot soon. I’ve been playing a lot of FFXIV and apparently that runs well.
I have an extra m2 slot I’m going to buy a drive dedicated to trying to get off the Microsoft teat.

this pushed me to try linux again for the second time. but all i do on my pc is game mostly. i couldn’t get the games i was playing at the time to work so i quit. i spent 3 days trying to get resident evil 4 and guardians of the galaxy to work over a single ad for fallout-in-space-game.
i’ve settled on disabling “get fun facts, tips, tricks and more on your lock screen” check box in personalization >> lock screen
i really wish i could get games to work on linux.

- Comment on But my WiFi is just fine! 9 months ago:
just a heads up for anyone deciding to make their own cables, make sure you buy pass through rj45 ends or it becomes substantially more annoying to make a successful crimp. with pass through you can prep your cable and it doesn’t matter how long you make the strands you’re working with because you cut the excess off, with non-pass through you have to cut them to a specific size and if it’s too long when they bottom out, your conductors will stick out making your crimp weaker inviting poor connection issues later in the cable’s life.
thank you for tuning in for this controls tech tip
- Comment on FTC judge rules Intuit broke law, must stop advertising TurboTax as “free” 9 months ago:
I went through “doing” my taxes 3 times last year. Once at H&R block when I saw how much it was I basically called back and said don’t file them I’m not paying that much. Once self filed through “free” TurboTax, then found out it wasn’t free when they snuck a 40 dollar fee in, go fuck yourself TurboTax. Finally landed on free tax use where it was actually free.
