- Comment on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024's launch has been marred by long load times, server issues and now it has overwhelmingly negative reviews 2 days ago:
It’s a consistent issue for Microsoft releases. You would think a company that sells cloud services would be capable of having a smooth launch.
- Comment on Apple Removes Ability to Run Unsigned Apps in macOS 15.1 6 days ago:
I think it will be difficult. They may be the largest competitor to Windows, but still just a small market share.
I do think it’s funny when people hate the way Microsoft has directed Windows when Apple is way worse.
- Comment on World of Warcraft adds $90 mount to in game store 4 weeks ago:
The thing is, they won’t be able to sell a Mount like this again in the future. This is kind of a “break glass” type of situation.
- Comment on World of Warcraft adds $90 mount to in game store 4 weeks ago:
It’s going to sell like crazy. It’s not just that it’s a Mount, but it also has an auction house and mailbox that you can use anywhere at any time. The only other mount that has the AH is no longer attainable regularly, only on rare occasions for gold cap.
I am going to get it, but I’m going to use my gold in game to convert to bnet balance.
- Comment on Apple is still standing in the way of Epic’s app store 2 months ago:
I don’t understand how Apple is getting away with charging other app stores. At most they could charge for hosting the either app store’s app on their store, but that should be it. They have no other costs that they can justify since they aren’t hosting, vetting, or curating the other store.
- Comment on The Google TV Streamer might be the Apple TV 4K rival we’ve been waiting for - The Verge 3 months ago:
The Nvidia Shield is already the rival for the Apple TV.
- Comment on Lego Racers- Intro 4 months ago:
I guess I usually skipped the race part, because I don’t remember that nearly as much as the guy walking up to turn on the lights.
- Comment on Reddit embracing all out enshittification 6 months ago:
The word really started to become popular last year, especially regarding Twitter and Reddit.
- Comment on Microsoft wants to hide the 'Sign out' button in Windows 11 behind a Microsoft 365 ad 6 months ago:
That’s the lock screen combo, not sign out. To quickly sign out: win+x, u, i. i can be replaced with u for shutdown or r for restart.
- Comment on Spec Analysis: PlayStation 5 Pro - the most powerful console yet 8 months ago:
It’s like when Apple says iPhone n is the fastest iPhone ever created at their announcement event. I would certainly hope so.
- Comment on Apple terminates Epic Games developer account calling it a 'threat' to the iOS ecosystem 8 months ago:
I don’t particularly care for Epic, but this is some gatekeeping bullshit from Apple.
- Comment on Hogwarts Legacy has officially cleared Zelda as 2023's best-selling game worldwide 9 months ago:
Sure, more room is nice, but the map could have been 1/3rd the size and still have a good sense of speed with it. A better option would have been to put in some fun mini games with the broom, but that would have been required then to make flying the broom more engaging.
- Comment on Hogwarts Legacy has officially cleared Zelda as 2023's best-selling game worldwide 9 months ago:
I think the biggest issue for me was how large the map was. They did the castle and hogsmede very well, but then threw in a bunch of filler content in the other towns. If they had stuck to the more core areas only, the game wouldn’t have gotten so stale later on.
- Comment on GTA 6 is likely to skip PC again and only launching on current gen consoles 11 months ago:
I think that calling them next gen was okay up to the point that they became readily available.
- Comment on Total War Warhammer 3 devs will remove Steam users starting boycotts 1 year ago:
The series is still great, but decisions by the company recently have really been bad.
- Comment on Steam Deck users can now play Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 offline 1 year ago:
I feel like they could have avoided this problem by not requiring a remake of a 25 year old game not require an always online connection.
- Comment on If you could play one game for the first time all over again, what would it be? 1 year ago:
World of Warcraft. Starting out in an MMO for the first time is magical. No worries about the endgame, just the desire to explore and learn.
- Comment on Microsoft expected to finally buy Activision Blizzard next week 1 year ago:
With Diablo IV arriving soon, I wouldn’t be surprised to see most, if not all of their games on Steam over the next few years.
- Comment on Cyberpunk patch 2.01 now available 1 year ago:
- Automatic Love - The distortion effect caused by talking to Johnny and selecting a specific dialogue option at the end of the quest will no longer persist on the screen.
This bug was driving me crazy. I am glad they finally fixed it
- Comment on whats your unconcious sign that you really really like the game you are playing 1 year ago:
I will be in my own bubble playing the game. Not looking at social media, just focused on the game.
- Comment on Microsoft Next Console Coming 2028 1 year ago:
Why would they need to release a new console for game streaming? The advantage is that it can run on anything. It would also guarantee that Sony wins that generation before it even begins.
- Comment on Todd Howard asked on-air why Bethesda didn't optimise Starfield for PC: 'We did [...] you may need to upgrade your PC' 1 year ago:
RX480 is an AMD card that came out 7 years ago, not the GTX 480.
