In the end it kida works.

When logged in, I've been able to make the rss fees be source for the channels.
https://hub.deepsys.eu/channel/unpiccoltest
is able to get the rss feed from wumingfoundation.org/giap and make it publicly visible.
I believe that the channel https://hub.deepsys.eu/channel/davide has the same settings/permissions but nothing is shown for guests
The fees is fetched but seems to be not public:

But no group is shown and nobody is in the "friends" group, as was previously suggested.

@Mario Vavti Am I confused or there are far less options in the admin section of HZ? I remember tons of them :P

So, we have some inconsistent behavior. See these two channels
The first has 2 connections (rss) both used as channel sources. They seem to work ss expected:
https://hub.deepsys.eu/channel/davide
The second has 2 connections (from the same wordpress webiste: https://www.wumingfoundation.com/giap/): general rss and comments  rss, bot set as channel sources:
https://hub.deepsys.eu/channel/unpiccoltest
nothing! Same hub (mine) same accounts, just 2 different channels.

Maybe there is difference between the first channel and the others? Dunno.

Maybe someone can try and make https://www.wumingfoundation.com/giap/ general rss as channel source work ?

If so, could you let me know?

I (as owner) see 2 of my posts + the items from the feed
If I log out I ony see one post (just a test).
So I need to figure out how to set rss feed items to be public

Thansk for the support! Activitypub interaction seem to work as expected. I was able to connect with a mastodon account and the amstodon accoun is connected too. We exchanged messages.
?ive successfully added the RSS feed as contact, but cannot add it as source of the channel.
Permissions seem ok:

I have self hosted HZ, addedd the feed as contact, but I cannot use the feed as channel source. Do you have any idea why?

Next step would be being able to federato towards mastondon. Is it doable?

That would be my final aim: to have a read only channel that is populated via rss and reachable also from others (Friendica, Mastodon...)

Ok I now am able to add the guardian feed as contact, but I'm in the same situation, since I cannot add the contact as source.

I have the rss feed as contact, but I cannot use it as source for the channel. Instead, I can add a *channel* as source.
So I'm stuck...

I managed to find the "channel source" app, which let me add another channel or feed as content source. But the "feed" option is not working.
Do I need to add the rss feed as contact (I'm not able as of now)?
