- Comment on Steam Autumn Sale 2026 is live now with lots of discounts 2 days ago:
Played Euro Truck simulator with driving wheel. It’s a fun and relaxing experience, and driving the truck or changing gears is easier than it seems. It has some challenge, especially when you deliver fragile or heavy items, but it’s not extremely punishing or realistic.
With keyboard the game is clunky, but still viable.
- Comment on "We clearly handled that responsibility poorly": Paradox ban Discord profile pics of historical figures born after 1800, after bust-up with Hearts of Iron 4 players over Atatürk banning 6 days ago:
Completely irrational decision by them to ban not only the pfp of a founder of a nation, but also the pfp of one of your game’s main characters. Horribly mishandled by Discord mods and thankfully people pushed against the decision.
- Comment on European Commission's proposed EU Kids Act could see online games forced to enact stricter age verification amid new rules around accounts for under 15s 2 weeks ago:
If you honestly believe that, can you give us your full name, age, address and phone number here so we can be sure you are not a malicious person? Don’t worry, it’s for the children safety, so they can know who they are talking to.
- Comment on "Why do we need more graphics?": 2010's Alan Wake was as photoreal as videogames ever needed to be, reckons original Thief designer 3 weeks ago:
We need more graphics so we can them make them blurry again through FSR and DLSS to get good framerates on lower specs.
For real though, I do think diminishing returns is a real thing. Graphics don’t have explosive improvements anymore, and since 2013 or so. Sure new technologies can improve visual fidelity, but it’s not as meaningful or earth-shattering as it used to be.
