- Comment on JetKVM's Source Code is now public! ✨ 4 weeks ago:
Unless what doesn’t boot, the KVM? Isn’t the point that this should work even if the host is not working?
As long as the host posts it should work. If it’s a hardware issue then it won’t help though.

You think they will spontaneously combust if you park next to one?
Make sure to not park next to a Chevy Volt instead.

9/10 posts in this community are stoned people or edge lords. Not sure how they all seem to miss the mark of “shower thought”.

Note: hang the bells next to the door so the dog doesn’t associate every door open with ringing the bells. This helped us on puppy number two not trying to ask to go outside to play 😂.

Hosting the software is only part of the problem, and not the hardest one from my experience.
The great spam catcher of Microsoft and Google are incrediblely dense and arcane, mail will often be rejected or swallowed from small mail servers.

How does it handle push notifications? If they come from googles push service then they’d be exploitable as well.

- Comment on Confusing git terminology 1 year ago:
One of the best things I did for my git usage was ditch a gui like SourceTree.
It’s far too easy for it to run an action that is actually running a series of commands under the hood and have git get stuck in the middle somewhere.
I still use gui tools (git extensions) for staging and reverting, but everything else is cli.

Depending on how old it is it may be a good space heater.
- Comment on Starlink 1 year ago:
Definitely, that’s what we should do. But that will have a decent carbon footprint and more importantly our government (at least in the US) has utterly failed rural Americans (and more!) in terms of internet roll out.
- Comment on Microsoft expected to finally buy Activision Blizzard next week 1 year ago:
One good thing to come of this (hopefully) is the chance to clear the C Suite people from AKB. I hope all of the AKB employees get what they deserve, which is a new set of higher ups that aren’t sexist dickbags.

Swap “aboriginal” for “native American” and it still may hold true. Lots of fucked up forced assimilation centers.

SLS is an intey step, but it doesn’t scale.
I hope NASA keeps investing in SpaceX and more importantly SpaceX competition.
