This looks fun! Going to have to check that demo out when I get home.

Any link/info on your game? I’m down for a cozy game with a bit more core gameplay

They really should. The longer this junk is out the more likely I am to sell my speakers and find a less jank solution.

It doesn’t have gif searching though which is so annoying.

Whelp, this decided my evening plans for me!
- Comment on Elon Musk goes ‘absolutely hard core’ in another round of Tesla layoffs 6 months ago:
We had a 3 and even though Musk was already an asshole idiot, we ended up swapping it out for a Y instead of another EV because the network is leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else. If they screw this up + keep opening it up to other manufacturers (which they should, that’s a good thing) I don’t see anyone our next cars being a Tesla.
- Comment on Helldivers 2 patch makes life hellish indeed for smaller parties, but also makes maps more fun to explore 6 months ago:
It sounds like it’s the recharge, not the fire. So still 3 seconds to charge, but then you have to wait an additional 5 seconds after firing before it’s ready again.

Unfortunately I have the date on the top (which comes out great at least) but this thread has given me a lot of things to try!
- Comment on Trying to add text to the bottom of prints and the quality is inconsistent 7 months ago:
It’s a one month old printer so I hope it wouldn’t have that, but it’s so nice looking compared to my previous printer that I hadn’t thought about the fact it could have manufacture defects…

Interesting, I haven’t heard of using chamfers before, that’s a cool addition, I’ll look into that!

Awesome, thank you! Giving this a watch!

This is such ridiculously good and interesting information, thank you so much! I know what I’m going to be going through and testing the heck out of this weekend haha

Do you have any recommendations for tuning filament? I’ve found a few videos I’m going to watch tonight, but one thing that’s interesting is I just switched from a CR-10 to a K1 Max, and at the same time from Simplify3D to Creality Print and checking my old S3D profile, my flow modifier was at 1.0, but on CPrint it’s at 0.95. That seems weird, but also it’s manufacturer software with their printer so I’d assume they know what they’re doing, but then it gives weird prints like this.

Checking this out now, thank you!

Yeah no you’re right and I appreciate you bringing it up. Talked about it with my wife and had an additional “is this even a nice ‘magic moment’ if it’s shilling a store?” Going to go back to blank backs and just have a little card to hand out if folks specifically ask!

Would it seem less weird to you if it was an Etsy link or just creepy regardless?
- Comment on Trying to add text to the bottom of prints and the quality is inconsistent 8 months ago:
Hmm that’s a good point I hadn’t thought about, I’ll have to think on this a bit more but also in general want to get it cleaned up for future projects.
- Comment on Trying to add text to the bottom of prints and the quality is inconsistent 8 months ago:
In theory no only because there are a ton of things like this on Etsy, but that’s something to think (worry) about haha
- Comment on Trying to add text to the bottom of prints and the quality is inconsistent 8 months ago:
Oh 100% yeah. Only doing this for the ones my wife is handing out and even then I’d prefer they look nicer as it reflects on me. The top side has the date on it and that thankfully consistently comes out fine!

Yeah I just moved to a K1 Max and have auto leveling for the first time, and the five batches that varied were from the same bed location so I’ll go through and make sure everything is tightened up, thank you for the idea!
- Comment on Trying to add text to the bottom of prints and the quality is inconsistent 8 months ago:
So it wouldn’t be indented really, just kind of there so drawn into the bottom layer? I’ll give that a try and see how that looks!
- Comment on Trying to add text to the bottom of prints and the quality is inconsistent 8 months ago:
Back to back prints so that may play into it, good point! Haven’t used it for a day so I’m kicking off a calibration and then printing a five batch to see how that looks.
For consistent preheating are you meaning like preheat the bed and hot end and then run the calibration? I just moved to a K1 Max from a CR-10 that I paper leveled so I’m very new to auto leveling and tricks for that. Thank you for the feedback!

I’ll check this out, thanks! Going to be printing a lot of terrain soon so easier painting is always nice

The latter, yeah! My BIL got a Bamboo and they have an unspooled program that looks nice but if you’re not on their subscription it’s a bit pricer. I’ll check out Filaments.ca, thank you!

- Comment on Reddit started doing what they always wanted to do, sell user content to AI. 8 months ago:
The only use I have for Reddit anymore is for super niche information. For example we were planning to go to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom today but it’s going to rain this afternoon. I checked their site and it said they were open 11-6, my BIL checked their app and at 11:30 it said they were currently closed. Found a Reddit post from someone confirming the park was closed for the weekend, and we didn’t waste a trip up. (as an extra annoying aside, apparently this information was posted on Six Flag’s Instagram page, because expecting a huge company to maintain a website is I guess just too much when they can offload it to social media.)

- Comment on My CR-10's had a good run but I made a slight upgrade today 9 months ago:
It was $700 + tax, but in store only, which was an issue since California has one Micro Center and it’s down in the LA area. Luckily my wife was going to Disneyland with some family and ended up being 10 min from the store and was nice enough to snag it for me.
Speed was the biggest feature I was interested in and man this thing hauls, but having a full enclosure to mess with temp sensitive prints is something I’ve been wanting, and the Lidar + print issue detection seems like it’ll be great. And man the bed just leveling itself feels like some wizardry after manually leveling my print bed for so many years.
I have an OctoPi hooked up to my CR-10 but I’ve been fiddling around with the Creality Cloud setup and it looks like I can get the same functionality with one less device, and having the camera built in and web accessible is really cool.
