- Comment on Weekly data: the global power sector saved $521bn in 2022 thanks to fuel savings from renewables 1 year ago:
My electricity statement showed the second rate reduction in 2 months. This would explain why.
Somehow I doudt that I received the full benefit but at least it went down which is more than I can say about petrol prices.

There are plenty of places on earth where life exists in conditions that seem alien compared to the rest of the planet.
“life finds a way”.

- Comment on Clean mount lists in Linux 1 year ago:
Default installations of Linux distributions mount more filesystems than they used to. This is because of loop devices, cgroups, and, in Ubuntu, snaps. As a result, the output from GNU df(1) as well as from lsblk(8) and mount(8) is more difficult to understand at a glance.
It is possible to make the output of these commands more readable by removing some of the “noise” devices. The following is a list of command arguments that remove irrelevant devices. After the list, I show how to replace the default commands in fish. You can adapt the replacement script for other shells.

DDOS? Cloudflare is supposed to stop that. I see a lot of cloudflare errors.
lemmy world status shows 292 instances in the past 8 days! Elevated response times and system resources repeated endlessly.
Insufficient RAM and CPU are my main suspicion due to explosive growth. Parts aren’t cheap but are needed.

Do your self a favour and check out Brother color lasers. Prices are quite good and the speed and quality outstrip a jet by a long way.

Aren’t regions of the brain associated with function? What region is picked for harvesting?
Brain stem is probably predictable but rather basic.
