Is that even possible? How do you know who downvotes you?
- Comment on Is there any way to reverse degrowth of the niche communities on Lemmy? 1 year ago:
I think it’s the same as any other platform. Right now the content in small communities is limited, but over time once there is a sizable amount of content that newcomers can get referred from or go through, Lemmy as a whole will get more traction. Since the Reddit exodus happened I definitely feel like Lemmy has grown a lot and I’m here for the long run.
- Comment on Google debuts a new way to watermark AI-generated images 1 year ago:
TBF, I don’t think the purpose of this watermark is to prevent bad people for passing AI as real. It would be a welcome side-effect but that’s not why google wants this. Ultimately this is supposed to prevent AI training data from being contaminated with other AI generated content. You could imagine if the data set for training AI contains a million images with bad quality or mangled fingers and stuff, it would be hard to train a good AI out of that. Garbage in, garbage out.
