I've finished: How Rory Thorne Destroyed the Multiverse by K. Eason

Rory Thorne is a wonderfully capable and competent protagonist. Following her makes this story, full of bad faith politics, feel cozy.

In many cases, when a fantasy story is moved into space, the author isn't very well versed in sci-fi and the space technology elements feel amaturish and uniformed. With K. Eason, this is not the case.

While the space tech elements are mostly setting, they are well thought out and well versed in genre nomenclature.

I must also say that the title of the novel while fascinating, does not reflect the size and scope of the plot. Rory is wonderful and brings down a corrupt and unjust system, but she does not collapse the multiverse.
