Hey, Ask, we all know that people love to talk about themselves, and I’d love to hear about some of your pleasant experiences. So, please, no matter how big; no matter how small, tell me something that you are proud to have made :)
Stretches the meaning of made, maybe, but: I painted Space Hulk 4th ed. to the absolute best of my ability. Took over two years to do it. Still proud to have it done well enough to deserve its little display case.
Also fairly proud of my insane and fairly huge Left4Dead2 mod “Random”, though hardly anyone ever knew about it.
johnnyenzyme@piefed.social@piefed.social 9 hours ago I’ve always felt the pull of the arts, directly flowing from my mother, a professional photog and hobbyist artist (oil, watercolor, pastels, etc).
Me, I absolutely suck at math, but one time I managed to construct a nicely-fitting-together wooden dice box for my AD&D needs. It was embossed with a piece of thick leather, in which I designed a picture of a noble stag (deer). Now, I think the impetus upon all that came from a short workshop I was attending, but the instructor was blown way by how much farther I’d taken things than everyone else.
At first I was like Scooby Doo– "ruh..??", but it later hit me– my mom had unintentionally gotten me started upon fine arts, and it somehow resonated with my DNA. Or something like that.
Anyway, yeah, I used that dicebox faithfully over the years, and of course eventually lost it in a major house move. 😅

Dinner. I managed to cook something healthy and delicious. Cantonese style winter melon soup/stew with prawns, mushrooms tofu, egg white etc.
