I don’t use it anymore, but some friends who are still on FB tend to grab whatever link gets copied onto the clipboard and share the spaghetti links like this with a bunch of trackers. I’m guessing this one was Twitter. But regardless, I’m always thinking, do they not notice or care??

If they are still using Facebook, they most likely have a limited understanding of the internet, and have no idea what query parameters are, so they think the full “link from the Google search bar” is required

They dont know. I work in IT and it took some time for my partner to understand why i hate such links and where she can cut the parameters of. But from now on almost all links she sends are clean and I am grinning everytime, knowing that she learned about those pesky trackers and actually decided to fight 'em.
