Nice to see a Mozilla project that’s unobjectionably good. I’m not sure how they’re going to convince vendors to do this, that’ll probably require the long arm of the law. But it wouldn’t be the first time companies like Google, Apple etc got rightfully slapped for poor behavior.
FWIW, this one:
Browsing information like history, bookmarked sites, and cookies isn’t accessible to third-party browsers on Android. This data is kept within a web browser application’s data directory, which isn’t directly accessible to third-party browsers, and there’s no API or ContentProvider to enable it to be imported.
Would be great if Android/Google supported, but Mozilla could also offer import and export right from their own browser… and so could Google. In fact, the Chromite fork has dedicated buttons to import and export all bookmarks (so even if you aren’t using Firefox, don’t use Chrome!)

Call them out and hold them accountable!

It might not work. Look at Epic v. Apple and Apple’s recent solution to the judge’s ruling on third-party payment systems.
