You said that last time too 😛

Wasn’t the switch about 10x behind what it should’ve been when it released though? Lol

Maybe I’m missing something. I understand and agree with the concept of limiting or eliminating our reliance on algorithms for content recommendations. This seems like a different issue though, is it not?

I wonder what’s the reasoning against it? Seems like a no-brainer…

Looks like it turned out great!
How did you manage the adapter?
- Comment on 4 weeks ago:
Right now I’d choose Lemmy. Summit on mobile and photon on desktop.
Piefed is a close second, but still has a ways to go. Honestly, I could see it surpassing Lemmy soon.
I haven’t driven Mbin too much, but it’s pretty neat conceptually. I wouldn’t count it out if you want to be able to microblog from the same platform. Kind of novel, but I found the experience to be disconjointed overall.

- Comment on Three years later, the Steam Deck has dominated handheld PC gaming 5 weeks ago:
Hell yeah, that’s what’s up! I’d definitely like to have another console to run emulators on, that isn’t the deck. Lol.
Odin 2 still has my attention.

Interesting detail, I didn’t know that about the oled model
- Comment on Three years later, the Steam Deck has dominated handheld PC gaming 5 weeks ago:
Are you kidding me? Steam Deck is so big and clunky. Don’t even get me started on the piss poor ergonomics and the thing is fucking heavy as shit too!
I love it because it’s open source, but it’s shortcomings really leave a lot to be desired in my opinion.

I know I’m in the minority here, but I really didn’t like the nemesis system at all. Just like roguelikes, the infinite repeatability of it was a turn off for me and made it feel pointless. I’d much rather play a hand-crafted, limited, curated experience that actually feels meaningful. These generative systems just feel lifeless and pointless to me.

Oh, nice fit! Are you pretty satisfied with it so far? I don’t imagine it would have any issues with the cold temps, and it pretty much looks like it came with the fridge. Good work!

Well, you’re right that maybe I shouldn’t assume the worst but the way of the industry these days just makes me wary and jaded. Crunch culture is a big problem too, and the title kind of read to me like ‘we’re just going to push it out whether it’s ready or not…’
