Hi there,
just stumbled over the go away tool social.tchncs.de uses to fight scrappers.
Without looking deeper into the instal description, does it look to you that it is possible to add this tool to a standard friendica LAMP instance based on ubuntu server software?

Also I wanted to mention another great project for that important purpose:

An alternative is blocking them directly in Apache (or nginx or equivalent) via mod rewrite rules, based on a list like this one. The page has ready made config sections fx. for Apache and nginx:

  This list is very useful. With whitelisting for federation and a few mod_evasive and mod_qos rules (or Fail2ban) in place, running Friendica usually works fine security-wise. If that's not enough, the next step would be putting this kind of reverse proxy in front of it.
