Soulkiller is a technology that captures conciousness into a coded form and V doesn’t knowlingly install it.
The technology in this game appears to be an AI combat/martial arts and if I understand the trailer correctly the main character willingly stole and installed it.

Let’s hope this is “Wanted: Dead but actually good”, because a gun fu game like this has a lot of promise.
