When reading a blurb that will be cut off by the pop-up window that it's spa

When reading a blurb that will be cut off by the pop-up window that it's spawned into, I don't want:

1) "...by the bestselling author of..."
2) Some long as recommendation by some other author.

Neither of those things tells me anything about the damn book. But the pretentiousness of the approach is likely to turn me off from considering the book.

I say this as someone who buys and reads more than 200 books a year.
