Both of them start piecing the memories together of what happened and why they loved each other so much.
I really loved this book, as all of Patchett's work. Beautifully written, touching and funny at times.

@MarianHellema @bookstodon I loved it, too. More than Tom Lake. About as much as Bel Canto. Reading Whistler led me to The Dutch House, which I finished last night. Also very good. Patchett is such a good writer!
