old.lemmy.sdf.org is down again
Are you guys looking for an experienced linux admin? I can help set up monitoring via prometheus and uptime kuma or anything else you guys might need help with.

wesker@lemmy.sdf.org 2 months ago I’ll fix it as soon as I can.
Arsecroft@lemmy.sdf.org 2 months ago thank you for engaging with my complaint content!
Arsecroft@lemmy.sdf.org 1 month ago It’s been 12 days
I’m not in a hurry or anything, but should I keep waiting or just forget about it?
wesker@lemmy.sdf.org 1 month ago I was just kidding, I’m not an admin. I’m honestly not sure we have an admin. I’ve not seen evidence of admin existence in about 3 years. They’re kind of like a cryptid at this point.
pmjv@lemmy.sdf.org 1 month ago your best bet is to email membership@sdf.org
I’ve also thought about volunteering, but AFAIK everything they host runs on NetBSD and I just started learning it (and any BSD) a couple months ago.
Oh good it’s not just me.
I finally gave up and started running MLMYM on my local machine. I find the Fedihosting Fork seems to work a little better than rystaf’s
The FHF fork hasn’t been updated in a while. I hate to do self-promotion, but I have my own fork of mlmym (based on the FHF version) you can use if you want, which has quite a few bugs fixed and some new features.
There’s also another fork (based on my version) now, which is running on old.lemmy.zip.
I’ll just run all of them, and you can’t stop me! MWAHAHAHAHA.
…but also thank you. MLMYM is one of the best ways to make Lemmy approachable for new users IMO and anything to keep it current is appreciated.
On that topic though, you happen to know any fork of it that is compatible with Mbin?
