When online commenters 'detect' my art as AI

  It’s an interesting dichotomy.

  On the one hand, you have the entirely valid response that there are actual artists, people that have put the time and effort in to learn how not only to draw, but to make something entertaining and worth looking at.

  Those people make art and they publish them on social media for free for people to look at and enjoy, and billionaire tech bros have stolen all of their work without recompense to them and are telling them to go fuck themselves.

  Those people have a legitimate right to be angry.

  There are also people that understand their plight and have every right to be angry and lodge grievances on actual artists’ behalf. They are here for the social aspect of social media about interacting with other human beings, and so therefore when they are presented with slop, they are allowed to slap it off the table.

  On the other hand, you have people who either do not have the artistic skill, or do not have the drive needed to build the artistic skill, but have something entertaining that they want to share with people, and AI gives them a tool to do that.

  As a consequence of them not putting the effort in needed to develop the skill to have the art ability to make the thing they want to communicate, they are going to be flamed. And I for one am perfectly okay with that. If I make something that I think is good enough, if I use an AI to assist, I’ll tell people. And then they can hate me or they can like me, it’s entirely up to them.

  But as a further consequence of that, the actual artists whose art was stolen by AI are going to be flamed by the people who are attempting to protect those self-same artists because of the similarities of the fake AI shit looking like the real deal.

  And that’s some bullshit.
