Vanishing Fleece: Adventures in American Wool by Clara Parkes (2019) is a written account of a crowd funded venture to turn a 676 pound bale of fleece into saleable yarn. The project was jokingly called "The Great White Bale" is presented as a series of chapters, each one being one of the stops she made.
