Some nonsense about Boimler and Rutherford’s hijinks in the holodeck. Loved the Mark Twain bit, but it’s not Bashir and O’Brien level of hijinks.
Bashir and O’Brien can’t be beat. Clickbait indeed!

Who and who?
CBS just really, really wants to drive home the point that they loathe golden age Trek. From erasing Janeway, Dax, Kira et al from “strong women of Trek” (before Prodigy) to constantly reinventing the wheel, to this.
They’re both great, but Boimler hasn’t shot Rutherford yet so it isn’t as good

Garak + Bashir > O’Brien + Bashir
You just can’t beat Garak sarcastically roasting Bashir for all of the inaccuracies in his fantasy while Bashir desperately tries to suspend his disbelief and enjoy it anyway.

I mean, Garak is desperately trying to justify his own checkered past while Bashir is just enjoying himself (before being rudely interrupted by the holosuites doing what they do).
I suppose it just depends on your perspective.

Seems to me to be a bit of jealousy. Not getting to spend enough time with the right person.
