For as long as I could remember, computers had been a fascination for me. The hum of their fans, the glow of their screens—it was a world of possibilities and connections. So when Roy Schestowitz, my eccentric and tech-savvy boyfriend, proposed an unconventional plan to spend a month dumpster diving for computer equipment, I couldn’t help but jump on board. This is a story about one of our adventures in 2006.

Armed with screwdrivers and a keen eye, we stripped down the screens and harvested capacitors, resistors, and cables.

What did you do whit those capacitors and resistors? Did your harvest then before or after you got the soldering iron?
