Why is actual socialism talking about communism, which isn’t actual socialism?
What's the best way to read and study Marxist theory/literature in a way that you'd easily remember? (crosspost from !actualsocialism@lemmy.dbzer0.com and !actualsocialism101@lemmy.dbzer0.com)

Read with others, it helps to discuss what was read to see peoples perspective and how their understanding might help you understand and remember more easily than reading alone.

Das Kapital (translated if you don’t know German).
Nothing will radicalize you more than understanding how the current system is set up to fail everyone but the richest assholes, and nobody seem to care.

I can only speak for myself but I found it hard to read while not giving much new ideas. Yes it describes the system at the time very well and you see the parallels to the system today but I wouldn’t recommend starting with it. I think just starting with the communist manifest is way better.
