The problem it’s trying to solve is wages… So yeah that checks out.
- Comment on AI will replace routine — freeing people for creativity. 4 days ago:
Ah yes, creativity, the thing that payed the bills after every new innovation that got people fired.
- Comment on Palworld confirms ‘disappointing’ game changes forced by Pokémon lawsuit 5 days ago:
I think they will lose customers over this, sure, but nowhere near enough to make them reconsider being the biggest a-holes in gaming (take that 2nd place, EA)
- Comment on Nintendo is Trying to Stop You From Filing Lawsuits Against Them With New EULA Amendment 5 days ago:
Anyone still buying Nintendo products at this point isn’t paying attention.
- Comment on Palworld confirms ‘disappointing’ game changes forced by Pokémon lawsuit 6 days ago:
I was one of those but they were losing me more and more every year… But 3 years ago it became way too much, and I got off the bandwagon. Screw that lol.
I hope they don’t make as many sales as they expect… But you may be right, too many people who will buy their crap however expensive and how much they’re being mistreated by the company.
- Comment on Palworld confirms ‘disappointing’ game changes forced by Pokémon lawsuit 6 days ago:
Nintendo is just a garbage lawsuit company that sometimes makes hardware with stupid subscriptions attached.

I saw that Kojima talked to Conan recently… Maybe Conan will be in this one too?

The only thing I want to know about copilot is how to turn it off and get it off my PC
- Comment on Microsoft getting nervous about Europe's tech independence 1 week ago:
They say they’ll fight thing in court as if we trust the courts to even respect the constitution anymore. You sat behind the clown on inauguration day, now reap what you sowed.

Ok? Sure, who cares.
Sensical? Nope.

If Baldur’s Gate 3 is your speed, that game gives me countless hours of trying new ways to change the story and game.
- Comment on Switch 2 mouse mode (such potential) 5 weeks ago:
And I’m Canadian, so it’s already almost $105… We’re talking $120 if it goes to 90 USD. Noooo thanks.
- Comment on Switch 2 mouse mode (such potential) 1 month ago:
Meh is my reaction, mostly if the games are $80 USD.
- Comment on EU considers tariffs on digital services Big Tech 1 month ago:
Yes. Tech billionaires are the ones who stood behind Trump proudly on inauguration day, so let’s start using Canadian/European options. Plenty of them match what those tech companies offer anyway.
- Comment on Switch 2 mouse mode (such potential) 1 month ago:
I mean… A gaming mouse is probably cheaper than the controller alone lol

- Comment on Why are Maries Sues hated while Gary Stus are loved? 1 month ago:
And I hate Superman for that reason.
The hate on Captain Marvel was a bit over the top, but the movie was mid at best. So it didn’t deserve praise, but didn’t deserve the vitriol of fragile dudes either. Just for me it wasn’t good for the same reason Superman wasn’t good.
- Comment on What would happen if the Supreme Court sent a US Marshall to arrest a member of the executive branch? 1 month ago:
I think we’re also forgetting the US Supreme Court probably wouldn’t even do anything resembling enforcing the constitution, as demonstrated by the 5-4 decision lately (barely respected the constitution)
- Comment on Why I recommend against Bluesky. 1 month ago:
The devs also made it clear that if ever bsky became crap, the system is made so that you could just jump over to another instance and go from there.
So far so good, but yeah I get it, the more they talk about investors, the more I’m reluctant to jump in fully.
- Comment on Why I recommend against Bluesky. 1 month ago:
it’s not yet federated properly, or would not be completely, but it’s still a good player in the game for now. I’ll advocate against it if shareholders start shenanigans.
- Comment on US classifies South Korea as ‘sensitive country,’ limiting cooperation on advanced tech. 1 month ago:
The number of countries that don’t fit on the left is decreasing every day.
- Comment on Microsoft accidentally removed Copilot in the latest Windows 11 update. 1 month ago:
Oh that’s awesome.
- Comment on US classifies South Korea as ‘sensitive country,’ limiting cooperation on advanced tech. 1 month ago:
So the US wants to become dead last in technology by allowing monopolies that have no reason to innovate and blocking any cooperation with nations who spend money on innovation and tech.
Good luck in the future, it’s like Obama said about shortsightedness.
- Comment on YSK: some places it is a crime to ask questions 2 months ago:
Authoritarianism is by the leader of a state or a territory, not by some random dude on Lemmy. Seriously go read the Wikipedia page at least.
- Comment on YSK: some places it is a crime to ask questions 2 months ago:
Yeah, but it amounts to asking “why is slavery bad?” You can understand why people, mostly as it is rising across the world, aren’t exactly happy that it’s even a question.
I said it’s a stupid question, not that you’re stupid BTW. But a quick Wikipedia read is enough to see that it’s not good news that many countries are kinda heading that way.
- Comment on YSK: some places it is a crime to ask questions 2 months ago:
You’re defying the goal of the group by asking a quite stupid question. Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, etc. They caused a lot of suffering, destroyed the foundations of democracy for their own gain, and you’re at the whims of if someone knows what they’re doing, because they consult almost nobody.
- Comment on [deleted] 2 months ago:
Then so should authoritarianism
