Look at Bill S-210 from the last Parliament, it made it to 2nd reading in the House. There is cause for concern.
I appreciate your dive into the topic though. Michael Geist has more info on his website.

I feel vindicated for not making an account to see more than 1 page of results now. They can get bent (like they will when this AI move bites them in the ass)

Canadian Senate Bill S-209 aims to do the same in Canada. These idiots really want our data so bad.

I want to take them at their word, but… We’ve been burnt before. Wouldn’t be the last time. New CEO comes in and is like: why is this not projecting kazilions in sales, we need to change everything and enshitify it before it even hits early access!

From what I understand it’s a modified version of the Samsung DEX, which in my experience was very decent.
For actual desktop, Linux is always great.
- Comment on [deleted] 4 weeks ago:
Android 16 will come with a desktop mode (like Samsung Dex). The Steam Deck is a pretty portable full fledged Linux PC.

Slapping my partner in bed causes a reaction, same for slapping my boss at work.
Ergo, slapping them both on their butt is similar.

- Comment on Elon Musk's X temporarily down for tens of thousands of users 1 month ago:
The whole site has been in disrepair for the past 3 years, and with all the breaches and issues lately, this downtime included, is the result.
If it makes you guys feel even better, just know that such failure to maintain software for so long, mostly complex and widely used like Xitter, means that it won’t get fixed easily at all. The knots are everywhere and will require even more time to untangle. Musk destroys everything he touches and I am at least happy about “this” one.

I was one of those but they were losing me more and more every year… But 3 years ago it became way too much, and I got off the bandwagon. Screw that lol.
I hope they don’t make as many sales as they expect… But you may be right, too many people who will buy their crap however expensive and how much they’re being mistreated by the company.
