Currently #Reading two very different #nonfiction books and loving them both. "Humsafar: The World of Urdu Poetry" by is strengthening my desire to learn more of that language to get more out of its #poetry - poetry the book breaks down so clearly as in the attached diagram of how a ghazal is structured. Highly recommended!

As is Zeinab Badawi's "An African History of Africa" - the first book I've ever read to consider the history of the continent from within. A laudable and MUCH-needed objective. I'm only halfway but already I've learned so much and had so many preconceptions and orthodox, eurocentric historical assumptions challenged.
