It is about the quality. Pretty sure there is not a quality upgrade and then the format is not applied.
It is contra intuitive for the arr stack. What triggers the format is the quality and then the rest of parameters.
I find it annoying because you can not make a format that you prefer a 1080 HD movie in multilanguage over a 4k in just English…
You mean it would have to also be…bigger rate or… a higher position hierarchically in the quality list? As in, having to change the ‘quality’ from WebRIP-1080p to WebDL-1080p which somehow is one step further in the list? That would then trigger the custom format sections, ONLY?
Use the trash guides, it’s all in there.
Sounds like the custom format isn’t working. A screenshot might help.
Sigh. When in doubt…reboot. Seems the evaluation doesn’t necessary update or re-evaluate after some changes to the qualities/formats have been done. But after I rebooted, it immediately imported the files.
Are you sure that profile is being applied?
I think so! I mean, it’s giving it a full zero. The other custom format in the profile has a 10, and that’s correctly applied.
You’ll need to share your custom format json (or screenshot) and your quality profile.

You (sadly) need to group all quality profiles into a single one, and then handly quality through a custom format. Example from my setup:
