Wasn’t that long ago that “day-zero”, cities running out of water was the talk. Now flooding. The world will need to reconcile infrastructure includes floodwater management and retention. Tree canopies to slow rain. Soil management to improve water absorption retention, multiyear reservoirs to store water to get you through droughts and floodways to protect cities. Building codes need to anticipate flooding so building elevated first floors will be the norm.
