In short:
A remote community on the borders of three states in Australia will mark New Year’s Eve three times tonight.
The event has been running at Cameron Corner for more than 20 years.
The triple celebration is ensured by the differing time zones in the three states on New Year’s Eve.
I got curious about whether this was possible in the U.S., and it looks like it isn’t!
There’s a point where 3 time zones meet - at the border junction of Nevada, Utah and Arizona - but that’s only during the northern hemisphere’s summer, when most of Arizona is on daylight saving time.
