I’ll be moving in January and wanted to sort some things upfront. New house will most likely have DSL internet, modem switched to bridge and I want to get something to provide wifi there. It’s quite compact house, 4 rooms, two stories high, so I assume most wifi should be able to cover it decently.
I’d like something simple to set up with possibility to expand in the future (like adding second node in garage to create mesh). Due to this I’m leaning either towards Unifi (most likely Express 7) or one of Asus’ offerings.
Is there something else to consider or which of the two brands you’d choose and why?
Thank you.

Unifi is fine, but pricey. It will definitely be above and beyond an ASUS as far as performance and features go.
