  It looks like it’s done in the same CG character style as Kengan Ashura

  The style might just work, for an extreme violent story like this.

    For a quick intro, I’d recommend the 1986 Fist Of The North Star movie.

    It’s well directed, and captures the essence of the 80s TV show.
