This is apparently the same story in UK.
But apart from poverty, what other reason can make a person let anyone scan their iris to be able to use some coin?

Most crypto is just a vague promise of making lots of money or changing the world, but ultimately it ends up just being a scam/pyramid scheme. Worldcoin is interesting only because the founders have some legitimate experience behind them in the real world, but may just be panning out the usual crypto way.

You give them your money backed by numerous international agencies for some make believe money that’s backed by a guy named Steve who totally isn’t trying to scam you or anything.
It’s worse than that Shel Silverstein poem “Smart”.
