Also, this reads identically to a product page which intentionally selects things it excels at while ignoring everything else

I had no clue Wayland was still a controversial subject so many years later…

I thought Wayland was created by the X11 team as a replacement for X11, and support for both is just to make a smooth transition possible.

“Performance myth”
Lol, I can tell if I’m running Wayland or x11 simply by the refresh rate when scrolling and moving windows. Myth, sure…

Hilariously, all of those issues could be resolved if those same developers that are complaining donated some of their skills and expertise into contributing to the fixes and features they need.
This reads very much like an “Old man yells at cloud” moment.

“We should never improve anything because I find it inconvenient”
XWayland exists. 99% of users won’t notice the difference. Accessibility is an issue, so you can go after that.

That’s real and very annoying. I’m using Bazzite and clipboard data from Firefox really does disappear if I try to paste it after closing the browser. I’ve never had this on Windows and I read this is a Linux specific annoyance and certain software libraries even mention it and how to properly work around it. I’m not really sure it’s a Wayland-specific issue though, it might also be the same with X11.
