The long-awaited movie adaptation is finally underway! The movie’s subtitle is The Deceased Consort’s Treasure, and the release date has been set for Friday, 2026-12-11!

“To return the body of a consort who died in the rear palace five years ago to her hometown,” Maomao and Jinshi set out on a journey to the southern lands, her homeland. Upon arriving in the bustling water city of Weinan Province, Maomao’s heart races at the sight of unfamiliar medicines and plants, but she soon faces a great mystery hidden within the consort’s remains. Furthermore, the existence of water pirates rampaging through the region and hidden treasure is revealed, foreshadowing turmoil ahead for Maomao and Jinshi’s journey. The trailer also features a mysterious boy who holds the key to the story, as well as new characters, heightening anticipation for their roles in the story. This completely new original story by the series’ creator, Natsu Hyuga, depicts the series’ biggest mystery yet, where〈the secret of the corpse〉and〈hidden treasure〉are intricately intertwined. In the latter half of the trailer, alongside Maomao’s line, “What kind of secret is hidden here?”, we see the intertwining motives of various characters, foreshadowing the epic drama that awaits on the big screen. ……
