Hypzizgus maybe? I can’t quite make out the gill attachment and whether those are spots or scales on the cap. It would be great if you could pick one and take some close ups.

The squirrels devoured them, unfortunately. I will take more pics when they come back up again, after some rain.

They love mushrooms actually. I’ve seen them eating mushrooms a number of times.

Squirrels will actually hang mushrooms in a tree to dry them so they can keep them in their winter food store. They’re always pulling the caps off my Xerocomellus late in the season.
