I’m on mobile so I apologise in advance for formatting.

My sister (27) and I (26f) are usually pretty close, being a year apart we know most things about each other and were inseparable growing up.

[for some back story, I have always struggled with my weight and have been on a weight loss journey since the birth of my first child, last year I ASKED my sister if she would be happy to see some before and after pictures of my body (in a bra and underwear) for another persons perspective of my progress, she agreed.]

Recently my sister went overseas to get some cosmetic surgery done, she had breast augmentation and a labiaplasty; I was messaging her before and after because I was nervous for her as surgery is scary to me but she came out fine and was pretty happy that she had it done.

However when she started to send me pictures of her vagina I asked her not to send me these pictures… I’m not comfortable looking directly at her genitals and she has just had surgery and it made me squeamish.

I stated a boundary and she blew up at me, saying I’m a hypocrite, among other things, for sending her the weight loss pictures. She is someone that is very happy to be borderline abusive to me and I have since decided that I don’t need to take her being unnecessarily nasty and toxic so I blocked her.

I think the pictures that I have sent her aren’t the same, I told her if she didn’t want my progress pictures then she should have said something…

My brother thinks I should just get over it but I maintain my need to distance myself from her. AITA?
