Allegedly a former employee (contractor?) had tipped the assets and saved them in a texture sheet. When they left nobody knew it was stolen, and they said they’re reviewing assets to make sure there are no more.
It seems like a reasonable explanation to me
“Sorry one of our 15 lowest-bidder contractors stole art. We’ll send the artist a free copy of Destiny 2”
