EDR is being phased out and ended in most states on Wednesday. If you’re a permanent resident your overseas license got transferred to a Aussie one under EDR you may need to resit further exams or risk being found driving illegally.
Temporary residents are allowed to keep using their overseas license.

Australian Road Rules are a lot different to road rules in other countries.
Reiterating them with people who know how to drive, but don’t know how to drive in Australia will certainly make DashCams Australia less interesting.
That said, for every one person using an Overseas licence who drives in a reckless manner (by Australian legal standards), there are dozens of people with Australian Licences who drive recklessly due to arrogance, stubbornness or just pure selfishness.

Yeah, that makes sense.
I just wanted to be a bro and throw this info out there so people know they may need to retake the test and sort their license.
It changed overnight and the penalties for driving without a valid license can be fines or jail.

Well said. This change might help, but not nearly as much as better education and enforcement of our existing laws, and most importantly better road design would.
