I’m getting frequent Gateway time-out errors when trying to access lemmy.zip
The website is slow from time to time. Never happened to me before

Main UI on desktop, and if it happens again I’ll tell you :)
I believe on apps it was sometimes failing to charge (or being super slow) as well but can’t really confirm

Saw it again. It’s not super often or repeatable. A refresh usually works.
Also see a higher amount than usual of “failed to load media” in Voyager, though not sure if that’s related or not. It doesn’t give any more info.

Yep, definitely related. I’ve made further tweaks which should improve performance, and im monitoring certain things that could be causing it to see if anything stands out.

The image proxy seems to be having issues

Sorry, we’re making some changes to images to try and prevent the timeouts we’ve been seeing.
Hopefully the 502/504 errors have stopped now, but images may be intermittent. I’m 50/50 on turning the proxy off and going back to old style images, as the proxying is getting more complex and I’m bypassing more and more domains where it’s not compatible
