    Only in the US. In Germany we can drink at 16 but drive at 18.

      It’s funny because my partner came up with this, and she is British with the similar drinking rules to Germany (we are in US now).

      Once you have a driver’s license or permit, do you use some other form of ID to check age for drinking in Germany?

        Jus Personalauswer, it's ID card. Not everyone has a drivers license, especially in bigger cities many people don't have any.

        I’m French and most of the time we have our ID on us as well as driver’s licence

    In Winnipeg we have to show our ID before we’re even allowed to enter the liquor store
