Hi guys!
Soon I’ll be going to a bit distant family location where we’d like to connect a separate detached shed to the main connection of the house. Wiring it might be a bit messy, as the cable would be exposed on the ground (not sure how to sort that one out), so I’m also considering perhaps a directional wireless antenna. How would I go about this? Main house has the wireless router, and the shed has no internet, but at least it has power.
Thanks!

You need an outdoor solution.

You can also find them from other vendors.
One warning - make sure you get one based on distance - If you buy a big-ass high power directional setup and accidentally aim it at the wrong spot, you will burn out the Wi-Fi on other devices. So make sure you know the distance and buy appropriate gear.
Lots of options as well if you search amazon with “wi-fi point to point”

Ubiquiti is a pretty good answer, but the airMax line is better for this sort of thing than UniFi. A pair of Nanobeams would be perfect, and standalone without need of an additional controller.

Just saw this one, might be the ticket. (www.amazon.com/…/B07CG3YRTR)

Thanks a lot! Would I need two of these devices? Or just the directional antenna hooked to the home router, then just any spare router to act as AP on the receiving shed?
I’m not too concerned about the TP-Link advisory in this case, as it wouldn’t be hooked to the internet directly (still needs to go through a non-TP-Link router), and this is in a rather sparse location far away.
