Dear Mr. Teacher,
Regarding your request for suggestions for a new club at school, I recommend going with a manga and light novel club. There are a number of reasons to go with this option: The club would be highly popular, it would be beneficial to students academically, it would make the students better citizens, and it would be extremely practical.
The club would be highly popular. One company within the manga industry sells many times more copies than the entire western comic book industry. The light novel industry has no equivalent anywhere on earth, with only a few specific series like harry potter comparing to it.
The club would benefit students academically. The books are appropriate for teenagers and some series have 10 volumes or more, which would promote reading among kids who want to follow their favorite stories, and the extra reading will definitely improve students academic performance.
The club would make students better citizens. The stories in light novels and manga promote the values of hard work, industriousness, and overall being a good person. Students can see themselves in characters who become role models for them. Students can also talk with each other about the exploits of their favorite heroes, reinforcing the moral lessons.
Finally, it would be extremely practical to start such a club. With a relatively limited budget, a large number of manga and books can be acquired every year, and books from previous years can be carried over to new years until there's a good library to choose from.
I think it's clear that this is an easy choice from your perspective. I'm sure other people have provided options that are pretty decent for ideas from 6th graders, but the combination of popularity, academic merit, civil value, and practicality means this is an opportunity we can't afford to miss.
Best Regards,
Mr. Student
